What age are Matchstick Monkey teethers suitable for?+
All Matchstick Monkey teethers are tested for babies and toddlers from 3 months to 3 years. You can use your teether for the entire time your child is teething, just make sure you clean it regularly.
How does the gel applicator work?+
Load a pea-sized amount of your usual teething gel onto the textured bumps on the back of the monkey's head. As your baby chews, the bumps help apply the gel to the gums more easily and hygienically, including harder-to-reach areas like the back molars.
What are Matchstick Monkey teethers made from?+
All teethers are made from high quality food-grade, non-toxic silicone and are BPA free. They also feature BioCote® antimicrobial technology, built directly into the silicone during manufacturing, which helps reduce microbes on the surface by up to 99.99% within 2 hours.
Can I put a Matchstick Monkey teether in the fridge or freezer?+
Fridge, yes. All our teethers are safe to be placed in the fridge for extra cooling relief on sore gums. Freezer, no. We do not recommend putting teethers in the freezer, as frozen silicone can become too hard for tender gums.
How do I clean and sterilise a Matchstick Monkey teether?+
Each teether is a single piece of silicone, so cleaning is easy: pop it in a steam or cold water steriliser, boil it, or run it through the dishwasher. There are no seams or joins for grime to hide in.
Can I reuse my teether for my second child?+
No, we don't recommend reusing your teether for another child. Teethers are chewed hard over months of use, so each little one should start with their own.
When should I start brushing my baby's teeth?+
Start as soon as the first tooth appears, usually around 6 months. The Baby Sonic Toothbrush uses ultra-soft bristles and gentle sonic vibrations to make early oral care easy, with a protective cap for hygienic storage and travel. Use it with a smear of low-fluoride toothpaste and brush twice a day.
